In Salon-de-Provence, we've been making traditional Marseille soap, cooked in a cauldron, for four generations, since 1900. Guaranteed dye-free, palm oil-free, fragrance-free and additive-free, our Marseille soap flakes are recommended for gentle, effective washing of all textiles, especially delicate fabrics (baby linen, wool, silk, lace, etc.). They are hypoallergenic and phosphate-free. Making your own washing powder with our Marseille soap shavings also means limiting the irritations and allergies that can be caused by traditional detergents.
It only takes a few minutes to make your own washing powder:
- Put a small handful or 30g of shavings in the bottom of your detergent can.
- Pour 500 ml of very hot waterover the shavings to melt them.
- Shake well.
- Pour another 500 ml or so of very hot water.
- Shake well, again.
- Let stand if necessary.
- Your detergent is ready!
